Integrating Haptics using the Studio Plug-in for Unity

Lofelt has developed the Studio plug-in for Unity to simplify the integration of haptics into applications developed with the popular Unity game engine. The applications you create with this plug-in will work on iPhones and Android phones that meet the Device Requirements set forth earlier in this document. The plug-in works in Unity with version 2019.4.16 LTS and the latest stable releases.

The plug-in provides a mechanism playing a pre-authored haptic clip. This method allows a haptic effect to match a sound file used in your app—for example, when you want to play the haptic effect of a door closing simultaneously with the sound of the door closing.

Before jumping ahead to the section on assigning and playing haptic clips, please read the following sections on adding the plug-in to your project and correctly setting up the Haptic Receiver.
